I was wondering whether we should perform a version update for the documentation. Ultimately, the documentation is just as important to the overall product as the CLI. 

You can create a new project, but if you don’t understand all the features that it has, then it’s not very useful. 

Documentation is also the first thing you see when you purchase the Flutter Kit, so making a good impression here is important.

This Flutter Kit 0.3 is a massive overhaul of the documentation.

New UI

The docs now have a little bit of personality. We call this style Modern Analog. And the rest of hungrimind.com will be updated to follow it. It’s based on the shadcn styling for the clean and crisp look, but we also bring in a little bit of real life, something more human, into it with the paper look and sketch font. 

We’re really excited about finally locking down an aesthetic and hope you like it too.

New Structure

It should be very easy and fast to find what you are looking for. Lots of research led us to follow the Diataxis Framework, which is used by some of the best documentation we’ve seen, like Strip and Kubernetes. This required a rework of our documentation structure and making sure each one had a specific purpose. This also included updating our document names to be more action-based.

New Docs

And lastly, the main value add is new docs. Some docs got consolidated, others got fully rewritten (Using Cursor Rules, Deploying your App), and others are brand new (CLI Reference, Guided Tour).

The Guided Tour, in particular, is something I spent weeks obsessing about. I wanted to make sure that when you purchase the Flutter Kit, you are able to fully understand and utilize the Kit to the fullest and build good products.
